Is a Camaro expensive to insure?
''The majority of any vehicle's premium is based on the amount of risk exposure it presents to an insurer,'' said Michael Barry at the Insurance Information Institute (III) in New York City. ''A Chevrolet Camaro with a 350 cubic-inch engine will generally cost less to insure than a Corvette with a 550 cubic-inch engine.''
How much is insurance on a 2020 Camaro?
The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro is a sports car that was created by Chevrolet. The idea for this car came in 1966 when GM executives wanted to compete against Ford's new pony car, the fastback Mustang. Most of them wanted to do something similar, but with four seats and more power. However, because GM had an agreement with Firestone to build 'Pony Cars' they could not make anything like the Mustang. The Corvette wasn't selling well at all, which meant it couldn't be used as inspiration but instead needed to be different from its competitors. Then designer Larry Shinoda came up with the idea for the ''shark'' as he called it, which was a car with a fastback design but four passenger doors. Then the ''F-car'', as it was called by those who didn't want to be so obvious about copying Ford's idea, was born and later renamed Camaro.
How much would insurance be for a 19 year old with a Camaro?
Insurance typically starts out high for younger drivers; if you are referring to just liability, then it will be expensive in most cases, around $2000/yr depending on the insurance company and car make & model. If you are talking about full coverage (comp & collision), then it could be over $5000/yr... probably closer to $3000-3500 for comp and ~$6000+ for collision. The price will depend on your driving record, especially with regard to accidents - sorry that's the way this cookie sometimes crumbles when it comes purchasing auto insurance.''
How much is insurance on a Camaro for a 20 year old?
According to Progressive, it'll be $120 bi-weekly for six months, then $170. I'm 16 years old too.''
