What Insurance Group is a Ford C-Max?

The UK car insurance industry uses a standardized group numbering system to make it easier for consumers to compare vehicles and their associated insurance costs.

Why is the Ford C-Max being discontinued?

The Ford C-Max was introduced in the spring of 2012 as a compact multi-purpose vehicle with hybrid and gasoline engines. The newest versions have been available since fall 2015. In June 2016, Ford announced that they would discontinue the C-Max at the end of this calendar year because production has reached its maximum capacity and there is no room to store them in warehouses or other facilities when demand for this vehicle decreases temporarily or when it no longer makes sense from an economic point of view to continue production.

What is a Ford C-Max classed as?

The Ford C-Max is classed as an MPV according to The Office of Fair Trading.

Is the Ford C-Max a good car?

In the past decade, car manufacturers have been trying to reduce the size of their average engines in order to meet emissions targets and because consumers are showing a preference for smaller cars that use less fuel. Despite this trend, Ford has managed to get a pretty good fuel economy from its current-generation 1.0 EcoBoost engine, which is deployed across many models in various guises ranging from the smallest Fiesta right up to the largest Transit van.
