How much is insurance on a Porsche 718?
Before we answer the question about what auto insurance costs for a Porsche 718, let's talk briefly about it. A little history for those who aren't familiar with the line of cars: The model was first introduced as a replacement to the Boxster in 2014 after having been known as simply 'Boxster' since 1996. It replaced the flat-6 naturally aspirated engine with its lowest output at 257 hp with a turbocharged four-cylinder rated at 400 horsepower and greatly improved handling over previous models due to an all-new chassis which included a carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) trunk lid and twin tailpipes on each side. The car continued to be available with a six-speed manual transmission or 7-speed dual-clutch automated manual. It was called the Boxster GTS in 2017 and came equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) which lowered the car by 20 mm, an improved chassis balance and steering system, four-piston aluminum brake calipers on 340 mm discs. The 2018 model has seen minor changes to the interior and exterior, including redesigned headlights, taillights, and center console; new exterior colors; wireless phone charging; an optional ten-speaker audio system; and LED front lights and tail lights. Additional features that come standard include: bi-xenon headlights, power retractable hardtop convertible that can be operated at speeds up to 11 mph, front seats
Are Porsches expensive to insure?
All car insurance premiums are based on the risk of the car in question. Porsches are not particularly expensive to repair, nor do they tend to be driven at speed by people who like to take risks (thus making them less likely to be stolen or involved in accidents). Consequently, many insurers will offer lower premiums for drivers of Porsches. For example, compare Porsche insurance quotes with Elephant.
How much does it cost to maintain a Porsche 718?
Ah, the Porsche 718 - a car that's as divisive as it is revered. The numbers make for impressive reading: 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 192mph for the Boxster; 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 180mph for the Cayman (both S models). That's all great, but like any high-performance car - or indeed anything with an engine and wheels - they need looking after.
How much is full coverage insurance on a Porsche?
A Porsche Boxster, in most cases, will cost around $4.30 per month at full coverage insurance. This is the average price for the entire United States and includes all 50 states.
